Khatlon Region and Valleys of DRS
The average monthly air temperature is expected to be locally 1º lower than the climatic norm and will range from 8-11º Celsius in the valleys to 4-7º Celsius in the foothill areas.
In the first half of the first decade, daytime temperatures in the valleys are expected to range from 10-15º Celsius, dropping to -2+3º Celsius at night. In the foothill areas, daytime temperatures will be around 4+9º Celsius, with nighttime temperatures ranging from 2-7º Celsius below freezing. In the remaining days, temperatures are expected to rise to 12+17º to 19+24º Celsius during the day and 2+7º to 8+13º Celsius at night. In the foothill areas, daytime temperatures will range from 7+12º to 13+18º Celsius, while nighttime temperatures will vary from 0-5º Celsius below freezing to 0+5º Celsius.
Variable weather with frequent precipitation (mainly rain in the valleys) is expected throughout the month, sometimes heavy. Thunderstorms, fog, and wind gusts of 12-17 m/s may occur on certain days. In the southern parts of the country, fog is possible at the end of the first decade.
Monthly precipitation is expected to be higher than the climatic norm in some areas (normal range 43-148 mm, 169-233 mm in foothill areas).
Sughd Region
The average monthly air temperature is expected to be locally 1º lower than the climatic norm, ranging from 7+9º Celsius in the valleys to -2+2º Celsius in the mountains.
In the first half of the first decade, daytime temperatures in the valleys are expected to be between 6+11º Celsius, dropping to -4+1º Celsius at night. In the mountains, daytime temperatures will range from -1+4º Celsius, with nighttime temperatures ranging from 5-10º Celsius below freezing. In the remaining days, temperatures may rise from 10+15º to 16+21º Celsius during the day and from 0+5º to 3+8º Celsius at night. In the mountains, daytime temperatures will range from 1+6º to 5+10º Celsius, while nighttime temperatures will vary from 3-8º Celsius below freezing to -1+4º Celsius.
Variable cloudiness with occasional precipitation, mainly rain in the valleys and mixed precipitation (rain, snow) in the mountains, sometimes heavy, is expected throughout the month. Thunderstorms, fog, and wind gusts of 17-22 m/s may occur on certain days.
Monthly precipitation is expected to be above the climatic norm in some areas (normal range in the valleys 25-54 mm, in the mountains 25-47 mm).
Mountain Districts og DRS and Western Districts of the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region (GBAO)
The average monthly air temperature is expected to be locally 1º lower than the climatic norm, ranging from -1+5º Celsius.
Throughout the month, temperature fluctuations are expected: daytime temperatures ranging from 2+7º to 9+14º Celsius and nighttime temperatures from 3-8º Celsius below freezing to -1+4º Celsius.
Variable weather with frequent precipitation (rain, snow) at times heavy, is expected throughout the month.
Monthly precipitation is expected to be above the climatic norm in some areas (normal range for the Republican Periphery 62-160 mm, for the Western GBAO 17-76 mm).
Eastern Districts of the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region
The average monthly air temperature is expected to be locally 1º lower than the climatic norm, ranging from 4-8º Celsius below freezing.
In the first half of the month, temperatures are expected to be lower, with daytime temperatures ranging from 4-9º Celsius below freezing and nighttime temperatures from 20-25º Celsius below freezing to 12-17º Celsius below freezing. In the remaining period, daytime temperatures will rise from 0-5º Celsius below freezing to 3+8º Celsius, while nighttime temperatures will range from 6-11º Celsius below freezing to 2-7º Celsius below freezing.
Monthly precipitation is expected to be locally higher than the climatic norm (normal range 5-23 mm).
