As part of the High-level International Conference on Glacier Conservation, on May 29, 2025, a bilateral meeting was held between the Director of the Agency for Hydrometeorology, Qurbonzoda A.H., and the Secretary General of the WMO, Professor Celeste Saulo. During the meeting, issues of strengthening human and technical potential, the use of modern technologies and artificial intelligence, cryosphere monitoring, early warning, as well as regional initiatives, in particular, the creation of a Regional Glaciological Coordination Center in the city of Dushanbe, were discussed.

On May 29, 2025, as part of the High-level International Conference on Glacier Protection, the Regional Forum on Glacier and Cryosphere Monitoring in Central Asia was held in the hall of the Agency for Hydrometeorology of the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan. The event was attended by representatives of the Government and Parliament of the Republic, heads of hydrometeorological services of Central Asian countries, international organizations, experts on water and climate issues, representatives of ministries and departments, as well as the media.

The guests were warmly welcomed by the Chairman of the Committee, Sheralizoda B.A, and the Director of the Agency for Hydrometeorology, A.H. Kurbonzoda, showing traditional Tajik hospitality.
