On June 4 of this year, the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Finnish Institute of the Environment (Syke) held a training seminar on the topic: "The role of the media in covering environmental problems", which was attended by representatives of the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, laboratories for water quality of the Committee for Environmental Protection and the Agency for Hydrometeorology, the Aarhus Center of Bokhtar and Khorog, leading media of Tajikistan, as well as students and volunteers.
The purpose of the seminar is to increase experience and knowledge in the field of obtaining and transmitting environmental information in the field of water quality.
During the seminar, presentations were made on the topic "The role of the Aarhus Centers in disseminating environmental information in Tajikistan and involving the public in solving environmental problems, as well as "The Communication Strategy of the Finnish Institute of the Environment. Types of environmental information, beneficiaries and recipients of information in Finland".
The participants of the seminar got acquainted with the example of the Finnish Institute of the Environment, how to present environmental information on water quality and were trained according to the topic of the seminar and at the end of the seminar, the participants were awarded certificates.
