On July 5 of this year, the Agency for Hydrometeorology of the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, together with the Agricultural and Food Organization at the United Nations (FAO), held a seminar on the topic: "Strengthening the capacity of the Republic of Tajikistan to comply with the Expanded Transparency Framework under the Paris Agreement" according to the UNFCCC Transparency Capacity Building Initiative (CBIT).
The participants of the seminar are government agencies in the form of ministries and departments, national universities, as well as those working related to actions to combat climate change.
The main purpose of the event: to provide information about the country's circumstances within the framework of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) Capacity-building Initiative for Transparency (CBIT) to representatives of line ministries and departments, as well as public organizations.
During the seminar, participants listened to and discussed presentations on "Introduction to adaptation reporting and Biennial Transparency Reports to the UNFCCC", "Review of the section on losses and damages under the Paris Agreement" and "Review of the work program on climate change mitigation under the Paris Agreement".
