On December 26-27, 2024, a training seminar was held at the Agency for Hydrometeorology of the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, as part of the project "Ensuring an effective process of the National Adaptation Plan (NPA) for Tajikistan" funded by the Green Climate Fund and implemented by UNDP, which was attended by industry experts.
It should be noted that this seminar covers the main topics aimed at improving the effectiveness of specialists in the field of climate change studies.
The seminar consists of theoretical and practical classes, the theoretical part of which includes studying the structure of the atmosphere, climatological processes, climate change factors, as well as monitoring methods aimed at understanding atmospheric processes and their impact on climate. The practical part of the seminar is devoted to identifying vulnerable sectors and proposing measures to protect the socio-economic spheres of the country.
These activities are considered important for the development and implementation of climate change adaptation and mitigation strategies suitable for different regions and sectors of the country's economy.
