On 7–8 April 2026, a Technology Forum was held in Bishkek, Kyrgyz Republic, within the framework of the Regional Economic Cooperation Program for Central Asia. A representative of the Agency for Hydrometeorology participated in the event and delivered a presentation.
The main topics discussed focused on the deployment of climate-adapted technologies, as well as ways to reduce the impacts of climate change and adapt to them in the member countries of the Regional Environmental Centre for Central Asia.
Within the framework of the forum, issues of building multilateral partnerships among governments, technological innovators, the private sector, and development partners were also considered, as well as strengthening regional knowledge exchange and best practices and enhancing institutional capacity.
In conclusion, it was noted that the development of digital technologies is one of the priority areas of the sector and plays an important role in ensuring environmental safety and protecting the population from natural hazards.
