On 5 November of this year, a solemn event dedicated to the 32nd anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution of the Republic of Tajikistan was held in the conference hall of the Agency for Hydrometeorology of the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan. The event was held under the theme “The Constitution is the Foundation of National Statehood and a Guarantee of Sustainable Development of Society!”
The event was attended by the Agency’s management, heads of departments, centres and divisions, who expressed their strong sense of patriotism, pride in national statehood and respect for constitutional values.
At the beginning of the event, Deputy Director of the Agency for Hydrometeorology, Pirzoda Sunnatulloh Mirzomudin, delivered a congratulatory speech. He emphasized that the Constitution of the Republic of Tajikistan, as the supreme law of the country, plays a key role in shaping the modern system of public administration, defining the main priorities for the country's development, and ensuring the rights and freedoms of individuals and citizens.
It was highlighted that, thanks to state independence and the constructive policies pursued by the Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, significant reforms and transformations have been implemented in the country's political, economic, social and cultural spheres. These achievements have created favourable conditions for improving the living standards of the population and ensuring the country's sustainable development.
During the event, Agency staff also shared their views on the history of the adoption and development of the Constitution of the Republic of Tajikistan, its importance in strengthening the foundations of national statehood, as well as the country's socio-economic achievements throughout the period of state independence.
The speakers also paid particular attention to the importance of the state policy of the Republic of Tajikistan in the fields of hydrometeorology and environmental protection, the rational use of natural and water resources, the impacts of climate change, and the strengthening of international cooperation in the areas of water resources and climate.
The participants highly commended the role of the international initiatives put forward by the Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, in raising global awareness of water resources, glaciers and climate change issues.
It was noted that the effective work of government institutions, including the Agency for Hydrometeorology, in accordance with the requirements of the current legislation and through the effective use of available resources and capacities, is of great importance for ensuring public safety, supporting the development of socio-economic sectors and protecting the environment.
