Note
The degree of air pollution is evaluated by comparing the concentration of impurities (mg/m3) with the MPC.
MPC (Maximum Permissible Concentration) - the concentration of an impurity that does not have a direct or indirect adverse effect on the present or future generation, does not reduce human performance, does not worsen their well-being, and does not worsen sanitary and domestic living conditions. MPC values are given in mg of substance per 1 m3 of air (mg/m3).
MPCsr.c. (Maximum Permissible Daily Average Concentration) - the concentration of a pollutant that, with daily exposure over a long period of time, does not cause any pathological changes or diseases in the human body. Concentrations of pollutants in the atmospheric air of settlements should not exceed the MPC.
High Pollution (HP) - the concentration of one or more substances exceeds the MPC by 10 times or more.
Extremely High Pollution (EHP) - the concentration of one or more substances exceeds the MPC by 50 times or more.
