On August 16-17, 2022, according to the UN Development Program, a training was held in the city of Gissar on integrating climate risks into water policy and river basin management plans in Tajikistan, during which specialists from the Hydrometeorological Agency and other ministries and departments of the republic were present.
The main goal of the training was to organize the joint work of the group and individual experts using appropriate methodologies to gain knowledge and practical ideas on climate and water risks, as well as watershed management plans in the Ferghana Valley.
The participants of the training, divided into groups, successfully carried out activities to address climate risks and water resource scenarios in the Ferghana Valley using different methods.
Conducting trainings and training seminars to improve the level of theoretical and practical knowledge of specialists is a support and plays an important role in the development of the field of hydrometeorology.
