On December 8 of this year, within the framework of the 28th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP 28), “a Memorandum of Understanding” was signed between the Agency for Hydrometeorology of the Committee for environmental protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and Chuo University in Japan “On the development and improvement of the national greenhouse gas inventory for the first two-year meeting on the inventory of greenhouse gases of the Republic of Tajikistan” Director of the Agency for Hydrometeorology Kurbonzoda Abdullo Habibullo and authorized representative Chuo University of Japan by Professor Masateku Watanabe.
Within the framework of this memorandum, it is planned to train and improve the skills of specialists of the Agency for Hydrometeorology at this university, short courses for specialists of ministries and departments within the country, modeling taking into account the economic conditions of the Republic of Tajikistan and the development of investment projects in the national economy of the country.
It should be noted that, in accordance with the provisions of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, it is held once a year with the participation of heads of State and a wide range of representatives of member countries, heads of international and regional organizations, civil society and other stakeholders, which creates a basis for stakeholders to share experiences and establish cooperation.
