In honor of the International holiday "Navruz," a festive meeting was held at the Agency for Hydrometeorology, organized by the Committee of Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and its departments. During the event, various Navruz traditions were demonstrated, including showcasing folk crafts, national dishes, "dastarkhan" with 7 "sin" and 7 "shin" items, and sports games.
During the meeting, it was emphasized that the globalization of the International holiday "Navruz" also signifies the rich historical and cultural heritage of the Tajik people. In the cultural history of the Tajik people, there is no tradition as significant as the celebration of "Navruz."
Thanks to the independence of the Republic of Tajikistan and the direct initiative of the Founder of Peace and National Unity - Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, the "Navruz" holiday has become one of the world's holidays and is celebrated worldwide with great enthusiasm every year.
It is worth noting that on February 23, 2010, the United Nations General Assembly recognized March 21 as the International Day of "Navruz." During the same session, the General Assembly welcomed UNESCO's decision of September 30, 2009, to include Navruz in the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
