On July 3, 2024, the Agency for Hydrometeorology of the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan held a meeting on the results of hydrometeorological activities for the first half of 2024, which was attended by the Chairman of the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, dear Sheralizoda Bahodur Ahmadjan. The meeting was chaired by the Director of the Agency for Hydrometeorology Qurbonzoda Abdullo Habibullo. It reviewed the results of the activities of the Agency for Hydrometeorology for the first half of the year and the tasks for the second half of 2024. In turn, Deputy Director of the Agency Baydulloeva Jamila Akbarkhonovna made a report according to the agenda of the meeting. Then the reports of the heads of structural divisions and infrastructure units of the Agency for Hydrometeorology were heard and discussed. In his speech, Chairman of the Committee on Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, dear Sheralizoda Bahodur Ahmadjon, noted that the activities of the Agency for Hydrometeorology in the reporting period, as a result of analysis in all areas of activity, are assessed as satisfactory. The Director of the Agency for Hydrometeorology expressed his opinion that our main goal is the practical implementation of the country's policy in the field of hydrometeorology, the practical implementation of the global initiatives of the Founder of peace and national unity - the Leader of the Nation, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, the respected Emomali Rahmon, "2025 is the International Year of Glacier Protection", the promotion of environmental monitoring, the study and development of measures in areas of climate change and increasing the level of environmental education of the population.
