Gases emitted by industrial plants are divided into divalent carbon dioxide, nitrogen oxides and carbohydrates. Emissions from vehicles, which contain gases that are harmful to human health and contribute to the spread into the environment.
The reason for conducting observations to determine air quality is to prevent the health of citizens, to identify the level of vulnerability of the population to various chronic diseases. As a result of exceeding the indicator of a certain concentration, the population is faced with various diseases.
Due to the steady state of air pollution on the planet Earth and cases of exceeding the level of air pollution, it has become necessary for international experts to monitor air pollution in order to determine the level of pollution. With the development of world technologies, world-class work is being carried out to improve the measurement of atmospheric air from pollutant.
In 2014, a mobile air pollution monitoring station was purchased with the support of the Hydrometeorology Agency Management and the Component C Project for Improving Meteorological Services in Central Asia. Starting from 2015, regular monitoring of routes in the cities of Dushanbe, Tursunzade, Yavan, Bokhtar and Sughd region has been carried out using the mobile air pollution monitoring station.
Environmental conditions and pollution levels are monitored depending on meteorological conditions. The activity of the mobile station is to control the quality of atmospheric air, to determine the concentration of pollutants in the atmosphere.
These observations are delivered to the information department of the Environmental Monitoring Department for further processing and provision of environmental information to users and authorized structures. Daily processing of information on increase of air pollution level in cities and industrial zones of the republic is provided on the website of the Agency for Hydrometeorology (meteo.tj), in the section of environmental review.
Environmental conditions and pollution levels are monitored depending on meteorological conditions. Together with the rapid development of industry and growth of the number of vehicles in the space of cities and industrial centers, the indicators of pollutants increase.
According to the work plan of the Information Department of the Environmental Monitoring Department for 2024, specialists conducted route observations in cities and districts of Sughd region in early October this year.
After further processing and calculations it was found out that in the cities and districts of Khujand, Spitamen, Shahriston, B.Gafurov, Ayni, Istaravshan, Guliston, Buston the air quality condition is within the norm, and in some cases the concentration of particles up to 10 microns - (PM10 ) and nitrogen dioxide (NO2) was slightly increased due to transport and industrial emissions in the cities of the republic.
