On November 14, 2024, within the framework of the 29th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29), an event on the theme “Opening NDC 3.0 - Creating an effective Pipeline of projects for the Asia-Pacific region", which was attended by Komron Ruziev, Head of the International Relations Department of the Agency for Hydrometeorology of the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, speaking on the topic "Tajikistan is among the role model countries for the development of a predictable National Defining Contribution (NDC) and best practices countries to achieve the goals of a green country."
During his speech, he noted that at the time, the Republic of Tajikistan in 2015 officially presented its Nationally Defining Projected Contribution (NDC). And in 2021, the Republic of Tajikistan introduced a new Nationally Determined Projected Contribution (NDC) with the highest goals in the region. In turn, the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan at the 28th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP28) presented a National Implementation Plan and a climate finance plan and outlined in detail the country's strategy to achieve the updated and expanded NDC goals under the Paris Global Agreement.
