On 3 January 2024, a meeting of the Agency for Hydrometeorology of the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan was held, where the results of activities for 2024 were considered in general, during which the Chairman of the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan respected Sheralizoda B.A. was present.
In accordance with the established regulations of the meeting on the results of activity for 2024, the Director of the Agency for Hydrometeorology Mr. Qurbonzoda A.H. made a report, analyzed and summarized the results of the activities of the Department, Centre, Divisions and State Hydrometeorological Networks of the Agency for Hydrometeorology and their achievements.
It should be noted that the Director of the Agency Qurbonzoda A.H. in order to strengthen the work in the field of environmental monitoring, control over the activities of observation networks, eliminate shortcomings in the state hydrometeorological network and mobilize all resources and opportunities for the implementation of the Decrees of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, as well as the instructions of the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan gave specific instructions for their implementation.
In turn, Chairman of the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan Sheralizoda B.A. during his speech called on responsible persons to timely and qualitative implementation of state and sectorial programmes and strategies, where he especially emphasized the Resolution of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan from 31 August 2023 № 407 on the implementation of the UN resolution on ‘International Year of Glacier Protection’ and the National Strategy for Adaptation to Climate Change of the Republic of Tajikistan for the period up to 2030.
According to the agenda of the meeting, decisions were adopted, where responsible persons are obliged to fulfill relevant instructions.
