On 1 October 2025, the Agency for Hydrometeorology of the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan held its final meeting on the activities of the nine months of the current year.
The meeting was attended by the First Deputy Chairman of the Committee, Mr. Shukurzoda Isfandiyor Shukur, and was chaired by the Director of the Agency for Hydrometeorology, Mr. Qurbonzoda Abdullo Habibullo.
The meeting reviewed the results of the Agency’s activities over the nine-month period and the tasks for the remainder of 2025. A report on the agenda items was delivered by the Deputy Director of the Agency, Mr. Abdulloev Umarali Saydulloevich, followed by reports from the heads of departments, centers, and divisions of the Agency.
In his speech, the First Deputy Chairman of the Committee noted that the activities of the Agency during the reporting period were assessed as satisfactory, and the achieved results demonstrate the continuous attention of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan to the field of hydrometeorology, which requires high responsibility from every employee of the sector. Special emphasis was placed on the implementation of the requirements of the Resolution of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan of 31 August 2023, No. 407 “On the Implementation of the UN Resolution on the International Year of Glacier Preservation,” the provisions of the National Climate Change Adaptation Strategy of the Republic of Tajikistan for the Period up to 2030, and the initiative of Tajikistan and France “Decade of Action in Support of Cryosphere Sciences 2025–2034.”
At the conclusion of the meeting, based on the issues discussed and the proposals made, a decision was adopted, with relevant assignments and responsible persons identified for their implementation.
