On October 16-17, 2025, a two-day training on "Increasing transparency of climate data: national reports and international commitments of the Republic of Tajikistan" was held.
The event was organized on the initiative of the Agency for Hydrometeorology of the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan in cooperation with the Representative Office of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) in the Republic of Tajikistan and the Global Environment Facility (GEF).
The training was attended by representatives of relevant ministries and departments, higher education institutions and research institutes of the country. The participants got acquainted with key issues in the field of climate science, including the topics "National Adaptation Plans", "Plan for the implementation of the National Climate Change Adaptation Strategy for 2025-2027", as well as "The gender dimension of climate transparency related to women's participation in climate policy reporting".
The training was aimed at improving the knowledge of specialists and strengthening interdepartmental cooperation in the field of fulfilling the international obligations of the Republic of Tajikistan under the Paris Agreement on Climate Change.
