During the presentation, the practice of the Republic of Tajikistan in the field of monitoring and forecasting natural phenomena, as well as the measures being implemented within the framework of the Global Initiative "Early Warning for All" was presented.
The United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction expressed gratitude to the Republic of Tajikistan as one of the first countries to support this initiative and praised Tajikistan's efforts in the field of water and climate issues, as well as reducing the impact of natural phenomena.
It should be noted that the Global Initiative "Early Warnings for All" (EW4All) is a large–scale global project launched by the United Nations (UN), in particular the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) in 2022 with the support of UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres. The main goal of the initiative is to ensure that by 2027 all the inhabitants of the planet have access to an early warning system about natural and hydrometeorological risks.
