On January 13, 2026, at the Agency for Hydrometeorology of the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, an event was held on studying and explaining the content of the Address of the Founder of Peace and National Unity — Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, to the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan “On the Main Directions of the Domestic and Foreign Policy of the Republic”.
The event was attended by the management and labor collective of the Agency, as well as the Chairman of the Executive Committee of the People’s Democratic Party of Tajikistan in the Sino District of the city of Dushanbe, Habibzoda Zohir Izzat.
The opening speech was delivered by the Director of the Agency for Hydrometeorology, His Excellency Kurbonzoda Abdullo Habibullo, who noted that the Address of the Leader of the Nation, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, has important international significance and reflects the domestic and foreign policy, the path chosen by the country, the stages it has passed, the system of values and ideals, as well as the problems and achievements of the state. It is precisely the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, who, possessing innate wisdom and far-sighted policy, raises at the international level the issues of protection of water resources, climate change, and the rapid degradation of glaciers, constantly warning the world community about threatening natural dangers.
Then, in his speech, the Chairman of the Executive Committee of the People’s Democratic Party of Tajikistan in the Sino District, Habibzoda Zohir Izzat, explained the main provisions of the Address and spoke about the development and progress of key sectors of the national economy, including industry, energy, agriculture, and transport, as well as social spheres — education, science, and culture. It was also noted that the declaration of 2026 as the “Year of Expanding Works on Improvement and Creation and Strengthening of National Self-Awareness and Self-Knowledge” in honor of the 35th anniversary of State Independence creates favorable conditions for strengthening the spirit of patriotism and creation.
Further, sectoral specialists of the Agency expressed their opinions on the most important sections of the Address, emphasizing that the Address of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan serves for every citizen, especially for youth, as a guiding instruction and a fate-determining document.
