On 13 February of the current year, a group of staff members from the Agency for Hydrometeorology under the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan visited the State Institution “National Museum” with the purpose of exploring and familiarizing themselves with the ancient history and the millennia-old culture of the Tajik people.
The staff were welcomed by the First Deputy Director of the National Museum, Zarifi Alisher Najmiddin, and other responsible officials. Guided tours were organized and conducted for them by the museum’s tour guides and research staff.
During the tour, the staff became acquainted with the rich natural environment of Tajikistan and the global initiatives of the Republic of Tajikistan aimed at addressing issues related to ensuring access to safe drinking water, climate change, the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals, and glacier preservation. In other exhibition halls, they also thoroughly familiarized themselves with the historical and cultural heritage of their ancestors, unique archaeological monuments, and the achievements of the independence period.
At the conclusion of the visit, the staff expressed their satisfaction with their tour of the exhibition halls of the National Museum and highly appreciated the museum’s presentation of important climate and environmental issues.
