Dushanbe, June 25, 2026 — A regular meeting of the Interagency Working Group of the National Platform for Disaster Risk Reduction was held at the National Library of the Republic of Tajikistan under the chairmanship of Mr. Ziyozoda Sulaymon Rizo, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan and Chairman of the Interagency Working Group. The meeting was attended by representatives of ministries, government agencies, international organizations, and development partners.
Participants reviewed the Action Plan for 2026–2028, as well as issues related to improving the monitoring and evaluation system, enhancing the analytical information platform, strengthening interagency data exchange, and implementing the Roadmap for the “Early Warnings for All” initiative.
A detailed presentation was delivered by Mr. Pirzoda Sunnatulloh Mirzomuddin, Deputy Director of the Agency for Hydrometeorology of the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan. He presented a report on the implementation of activities under the National Platform and the “Early Warnings for All” Roadmap, highlighting achieved results and outlining future priorities.
Following the meeting, further measures were identified to support the implementation of the Action Plan, strengthen interagency cooperation, and prepare materials for the next meeting of the National Platform.
Such meetings contribute to the development of the national disaster risk management system, the enhancement of early warning mechanisms, and the fulfillment of the international commitments of the Republic of Tajikistan.
