In order to implement the constructive and forward-looking policies of the Founder of Peace and National Unity — Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, and the Chairman of Dushanbe City, His Excellency Rustami Emomali, as well as to fulfil the objectives of 2026, declared the “Year of Expanding Improvement and Construction Works, Strengthening National Self-Knowledge and Self-Awareness”, a collective clean-up campaign was held on 17 October this year at the Agency for Hydrometeorology of the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan.
During the campaign, Agency staff carried out cleaning and improvement works in the area surrounding the administrative building and along pedestrian walkways. The activities included collecting and removing waste, cleaning irrigation channels, clearing weeds from plots of land, loosening the soil around trees, and watering trees, ornamental flowers and shrubs.
The event contributed to improving the sanitary condition of the surrounding area, ensuring proper care of trees, shrubs and green spaces, protecting the environment, and creating favorable environmental conditions.
Maintaining environmental cleanliness, preserving green spaces and demonstrating a responsible attitude towards nature are the responsibility of every citizen. These efforts are also essential for ensuring a healthy and clean environment and contributing to the improvement and beautification of the country.
