Within the framework of the 19th World Meteorological Congress at the Geneva International Conference Center (Switzerland), the Director of the Agency for Hydrometeorology of the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan held a bilateral meeting with the presidential candidate of the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) Dr. Abdullo Ahmad Al Mandus, Director General of the National Meteorological Center of the United Arab Emirates, President of the Regional Association WMO II (Asia).
During the meeting, issues of bilateral cooperation between the hydrometeorological services of the countries on the exchange of knowledge, experience and technologies, as well as visits of industry specialists to the countries and consideration of further steps for the development of hydrometeorological services based on the principles of WMO were discussed.
