On December 3-4, 2023, a meeting of representatives of Ministries of Foreign Affairs and parliamentarians of Central Asian countries, UNFCCC coordinators in Central Asia, members of national delegations, speakers, regional and national experts (COP-28), Dubai, United Arab Emirates, took place in the Pavilion of the Republic of Tajikistan at the 28th Conference of the Parties to the UNFCCC, during which The Director of the Agency for Hydrometeorology of the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan Kurbonzoda A.H. and Agency specialists took part.
The meeting discussed progress in improving legislation, institutional frameworks and implementation of climate policy in Central Asian countries, progress in fulfilling NDC commitments, key achievements of Central Asian countries in the field of carbon neutrality and climate adaptation, presentation of the regional statement of Central Asian countries on combating climate change, initiatives of finance ministers on climate change climate and others.
