On February 12, 2026, as part of the action plan of the Agency for Hydrometeorology of the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, an administrative training on "Explaining the Concept of the State Policy of the Republic of Tajikistan in the field of religion" was held with the broad participation of employees.
During the training, the head of the Department of Welfare and Economy, Abdunazarov I., spoke. He noted that the Concept of State Policy of the Republic of Tajikistan in the field of religion was adopted by Decree of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, №1042 dated April 4, 2018 and defines the goals, objectives and priorities of state policy in this area, taking into account the national interests of the country.
It was emphasized that the main purpose of the Concept is to define a long-term perspective for ensuring the protection of human and civil rights and religious freedoms, strengthening the foundations of a secular state, expanding tolerance and respect for all religions and faiths, as well as ensuring security, mutual understanding and harmony in the religious environment of the country.
During the event, the essence and objectives of the laws of the Republic of Tajikistan "On the regulation of traditions, celebrations and rituals" and "On the responsibility of parents for the education and upbringing of children" were also explained.
