In the context of the rapid melting of glaciers in Central Asia, the Republic of Tajikistan attaches particular importance to the preservation of the cryosphere and the expansion of scientific monitoring. At the high–level international conference dedicated to the International Year of Glacier Conservation, the Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan His excellency Emomali Rahmon emphasized the need to strengthen cooperation and restore observation systems on high-altitude glaciers to ensure the conservation of water resources and sustainable development of the region. These calls are directly related to the initiative "Decade of Action in Support of Cryospheric Sciences 2025-2034", put forward by Tajikistan and France, and reflect the country's strategic line in the field of climate diplomacy.
