The Agency of hydrometeorology of the Committee of Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, in cooperation with the Finnish Meteorological Institute within the framework of the "FINTAJ" project (phase 3), successfully conducted joint research. From March 5th to 13th of the current year, specialists conducted an assessment of air quality in the city of Dushanbe using modern equipment with the aim of improving air quality monitoring.
The conduct of these measurements provides an opportunity to develop a comprehensive mechanism for assessing air quality for the city of Dushanbe in accordance with established standards.
It is noted that the issue of air quality monitoring falls within the competence of the leadership of the Agency for hydrometeorology, and actions are being taken to improve the technical equipment of observation points in this direction.
