Turning to scientific knowledge, especially to natural and mathematical sciences, is in itself a reliable step towards the sustainable development of the country's economy.
The Agency for Hydrometeorology of the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, in order to achieve the goals – “Twenty years of study and development of natural and mathematical disciplines in the field of science and education for 2020-2040” - constantly conducts campaigns and awareness-raising work and maintains close ties with higher and secondary educational institutions of the country.
To this end, an “Open Day” was held at the Agency for Hydrometeorology on April 25, 2024, as part of the implementation of this goal, which was attended by pupils of the Dushanbe International School.
During the meeting, the pupils got acquainted with the Dushanbe Aerological Station, the Center for Climate Change and the Ozone Layer, the Weather Forecasting Center, the operation of hydrometeorological equipment, the provision of hydrometeorological data and the consequences of natural phenomena.
