Within the framework of the adoption of the next initiative of the Founder of Peace and National Unity -the Leader of the Nation, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Respected Emomali Rahmon by the United Nations General Assembly "2025 is the International Year of glacier protection" and "March 21 is the International Day of glacier protection". On November 13-14 of this year, the Agency for Hydrometeorology of the Committee for environmental protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, in cooperation with the World Meteorological Organization, the Aga Khan Agency at the place of residence, the International Migration Organization, the Finnish meteorological Institute and other development partners, held an international conference on “Problems of glacier protection in the context of climate change: state, study, global initiatives”, dedicated to 2025 - The International Year of Glacier Protection", which was attended by representatives of a number of international organizations, ministries, departments and leading mass media of the republic.
